The Great Khwajah

Hadrat Shaib

The Birth of the Sheikh

Hazoor Khwaja-eh-Khwajghaan rehmatullah alai was born on 4th April in 1934 AC - 19th Dhu'l-Hijja 1352 AH in Shadphur, Taliyanwala, Jhelum.

Family Background

Hazoor Qibla-eh-Alim rehmatullah alai opened his eyes in a very religious family, his father Majid Miah Karam Daad rehmatullah alai was extremely steadfast in prayer and fasting. Due his truthfulness, honesty and asceticism Hazrat Majid Miah was renown throughout the entire community.

Being blessed with the Prophets (saw) Ziyarat

Qibla-eh-Alim rehmatullah alai was educated during his childhood through to maturity in the local Islamic Madaris. The Madaris provided both Islamic Education and modern sciences. At the age of 19, Qibla-eh-Alim rehmatullah alai graduated from the Madaris. It was at this very age that an event took place that changed the entire aim of life for Khwaja-eh-Khwajghaan (ra). One night the Holy Prophet Muhammad Sallalaho Alai Wa Aalaihe Wassalam appeared in the Sheikh’s dream, NabiAllah Sallalaho Alai Wa Aalaihe Wassalam asked Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) "will you do the work of my deen?", to which the Sheikh replied "of course".  The Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) then presented some dates to Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) with his blessed hands. As RasoolAllah Sallalaho Alai Wa Aalaihe Wassalam was presenting the dates he (saw) asked, "will you eat them?", Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) replied, "if the King is offering who am I to refuse". Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) used to mention the dates had an unusual taste, they were extremely sour, however he ate all the dates. It was only an instant after eating the dates that the chest of Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) became illuminated with rays of light. When Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) awoke from the dream every little atom of his body felt different, all things had a new perspective, the heart had become filled with the love of Allah (swt) and His  messenger (saw). From that very day forward Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) started to read Namaaz-eh-Tahajjud with extreme steadfastness. Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) made it a daily custom to read salutations upon the Prophet (saw). Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) also  started to visit the dwelling of many saints (ra) more often, especially the darbars of Hazrat Miah Muhammad Baksh (ra) and Hazrat Peeray Shah Ghazi Sarkaar (ra) in Karee Shariff, Pakistan, whom he (ra) grew very fond of.

For five long years Hazrat Sahib (ra) worked extremely hard, during the day he would fast and during the night he would stay awake remembering the Creator (swt). Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) planned out his day in accordance to the way the great men of the past lived, every minute was spent remembering the creator, as it is said "working for a halaal income is also form of worship".

The Physical Allegiance

Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) was blessed with having an awaisi (spiritual) link with the Prophet (saw), the Sheikh (ra) was blessed on numerous occasions with Ziyarat's (sightings) of the Prophet (saw) in his dreams throughout these five years. Along with the awaisi link with the Prophet (saw), the Sheikh (ra) also had a spiritual link with Peeray Shah Ghazi (ra). These spiritual links grew stronger with every passing day, however, Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) wanted a physical link, he (ra) wanted a pious teacher who could guide him to success and was there whenever he (ra) needed him. With the intention of finding a physical sheikh, Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) went to Peeray Shah Ghazi's (ra) darbar. Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) did fatiyah and then made dua to Allah (swt). That very night Peeray Shah Ghazi (ra) appeared in Qibla-eh-Alim (ra)'s dream. Peeray Shah Ghazi (ra) approached Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) and said "Aslam, you want physical bayt (allegiance), this type of bayt can be found across the river".

Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) immediately started searching for the man who was to be their physical guide. It was quite some time later that Hazrat Sahib (ra) met a man who was a maureed of a pious man in Mohree Shariff. The pious man in Mohree Shariff was Ghawth-eh-Zamah Qutb-al-Aqtab Zareen-Zarbakht  Hazrat Khwaja Sufi Nawaab-uddin Sahib rehmatullah alai. As soon as Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) was told about Hazrat Nawaab-uddin (ra), Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) desperately wanted to see him, Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) knew this is surely the person who Peeray Shah Ghazi (ra) had indicated about.

Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) wasted no time and went across the river straight away to meet this Man of Allah, there was a large number of disciples of Hazrat Nawaab-uddin (ra) present, Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) also sat down amongst them.

Hazrat Khwaja Sufi Nawaab-uddin Sahib (ra) was delivering a speech, on the topic of bayt, whilst talking Hazrat Nawaab-uddin Sahib (ra) kept looking at Qibla-eh-Alim (ra). During his speech, whilst still looking at Qibla-eh-Alim (ra), he said "those who are blessed to have an awaisi ( spiritual) link with NabiAllah Sallalaho Alai Wa Aalaihe Wassalam, they should also have a physical bayt whereby they can be totally guided". This was enough for Qibla-eh-Alim (ra), upon hearing this he stood up and walked towards Hazrat Nawaab-uddin (ra), Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) placed his hands in the hands of Hazrat Nawaab-uddin and took bayt. Thus Qibla-eh-Alim was accepted into the silsilah alia Naqshbandiya Mujaddidiya. Hazrat Nawaab-uddin (ra) presented Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) a very short wazifa. Qibla-eh-Alim became shocked and enquired "Janaab, I usually spend day and night reading extensive wazaif, what will this small wazifa (shown below) do for me?" Hazrat Nawaab-uddin (ra) just smiled

Darood Shariff (x100)
Ya Hayo Ya Kayoom (x100)
Darood Shariff (x100)

That night when Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) got home he performed ablution and read Namaaz-eh-Tahajjud, after reading Namaaz-eh-Tahajjud he went to sleep. Whilst asleep the Grand Sheikh (ra) visited Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) in the dream. Hazrat Nawaab-uddin stared into Qibla-eh-Alim (ra)'s eyes and shouted ALLAH. Instantly Qibla-eh-Alim (ra)'s heartbeat became irregular and started to beat to the rhythm of "ALLAH-HU."

Moving to England

In 1963 AC, 1382 AH, at the age of 30, due to the command of his Sheikh, Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) moved to England. His first dwelling was in a house in London. In those days England was in the depth of kufr. Drugs, fornication, rock and roll was the norm; the hippies influenced every second person. The Muslim migrants were also becoming influenced; their imaan was dying in the shadows of the kufr. There were no Masjids, no Madaris, and no structure of the Ulema-eh-Kiraam or the Mashaikh-eh-Azaam. Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) during the days of darkness worked in factories and alongside practiced and preached Islam. Within the factory where Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) worked, he arranged a prayer room to be made and started congregations. Many people through Qibla-eh-Alim's (ra) left their bad ways and had the opportunity to repent sincerely, do true tawba. Regardless of all this Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) did not want to stay in England, after a short while he left and returned to Pakistan with the intention of living there for the rest of his life.

Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) started trade in Pakistan but made a financial loss, Hazrat Nawaab-uddin (ra) on his visit said, "Sufi Aslam, your work is not here! The failure of your business is an omen that your work lies in England not Pakistan! Go to England my son!” Qibla-eh-Alim for the second time came to Great Britain, whilst in England the Prophet Muhammad (saw) came to Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) in his dream and said "Khwaja Aslam, you look happy", Hazrat Sahib (ra) replied, "Hazoor, indeed I am I have made such a beautiful seat for you to sit on", with the Prophet (saw) was a companion (ra) who said " Hazoor, he is also pleased because you have selected him as a representative in England". Upon hearing this the Prophet smiled and said "without doubt, in a country as barren as this, it is a tremendous deed to remember Allah (swt) and make others remember Allah (swt).

The Youth Benefiting

With the reassurance that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) was spiritually helping and the dua of the Sheikh also with him, Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) was ready to tackle any evil. It was the blessings of the Lord, the Nigah-eh-Karam of Hazoor NabiKareem Sallalaho alai Wa Aalaihe Wassalam, and the dua of Hazrat Nawaab-uddin that where ever Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) focused he brought change for the good. The youngsters of Europe, who were drowning in the filth of dunya, who were falling prey to the wrong path, due to Qibla-eh-Alim’s (ra) sincerity, purity of character and tireless work for the religion of Islam  repented and started to prostrate in front of their Lord Allah (swt). They prostrated in front of their Lord Allah ninety-six times a day, these once mislead youngsters started to take on the ways of the Prophet (saw), leaving behind all the filth and moving towards Jannah along the Siraatul Mustaqeem.

Christians, Sikhs and People from other Religions Accepting Islam

The Blazing Sun of Tassawuf not only revived the ways of the Prophet Muhammad (saw) amongst the "born" Muslims but Hazoor Khwaja Khwajaghaan (ra) ignited the light of Islam in countless Christians, Sikhs and Hindus. Hazrat Sahib (ra) spent day and night, “in a country as spiritually barren as England, remembering Allah (swt) and make others remember Allah (swt)”. Due to his effort in the way of Allah, with the blessings of his Sheikh, and the nigah-eh-karam of Hazoor Rehmatulil Alameen (saw), Khwaja Aslam (ra) caused a revolution in the lives of people, the name of Allah (swt) was being mentioned from the most Northern part of Scotland to the most Southern part of England. This spiritually barren land by the Grace and Glory of Allah (swt) was growing fertile with the remembrance of Allah SWT and with the sunnahs of the
prophet (saw) .

Teree roshan kandeelo'n sai giya gar gar ujalla hai
Huwa Europe manawar be jo sab dunya sai kala hai

Karamat (Miracle)

Alhamdulillah by the Grace and Glory of Allah, Khwaja Khwajaghaan performed many karamat’s. The karamat of an Auliya Allah, or the maujehzah of an Ambiyah, is not done by his own accord or his will, but in fact by the will of Allah (swt).

Hazrat Khwaja Khwajghaan (ra) often use to say, “the miracle of reviving the dead by a dervish is not seen as a great thing nor a great miracle, but reviving a dead heart is the greatest miracle”. This literally means that when a dervish performs the miracle of reviving the dead by Allah (swt)’s leave, this is simply the task of joining the spirit and the body back together. The revived body will inevitably die once again due to the command of Allah SWT. However, the miracle of reviving the "dead" heart (the heart is dead due to forgetfulness of the commands of it's Lord ( i.e. it is in Ghafla) and of the message of the Messenger (saw)) is greater as the heart which is alive with the remembrance of it's Lord will remain "alive" with the mercy of it's Lord eternally.

Alhamdulillah Khwaja Khwajghaan performed the greater and the lesser miracles throughout his life, one of his greatest miracles was upholding the ways of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) when everyone around him were going through a phase of ignorance. His steadfastness to the truth and ways of the Prophet caused others to accept and follow his example. By the Grace of Allah, by working in the way of Allah in the footsteps of the Prophet Muhammad (saw) during times of ignorance ignited the memories of the salaf us saliheen.

Character

Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) was extremely kind and pleasant to all people regardless of their faith, race, and age. The laws of Shariah were utmost priority for Qibla Hazrat Sahib (ra), it was for this very reason that from the hundred thousands of maureeds (disciples), almost every single one, is steadfast on keeping ablution, maintaining prayers at right times and keeping obligatory and compulsory fasts.

Khulafah

The Khulafah of Hazrat Khwaja Sufi Muhammad Aslam Sahib (ra) were the first Khulafah in Britain. There are numerous Khulafah (spiritual leaders) all over England encompassing people of different ages and of different races but all with one aim and one mission, to spread the message of the Prophet of Allah. Every city with Khulafah has a gathering of dhikr. In the city of Blackburn, Lancashire, England, Hazrat Sahib (ra) laid down the foundation and established the Naqshbandi Mujaddidi Spiritual Centre. This was the centre of the tariqat in England and Shadpur Shariff the centre in Pakistan. It is in Blackburn that currently the son of Qibla-eh-Alim (ra), Hazrat Sahibzada Riaz Ahmed Aslami is continuing, day and night with the message of his father. May Allah grant him success. Ameen.

In Pakistan Shadpur Shariff, Taliyanwala, Jhelum, next to the river Jhelum, Hazrat Sahib (ra) laid down the foundations and built a Masjid and Madaris for the benefit and education of the town’s people.

The Death of the Ghawth-eh-Zamah

At the age of 65, on Monday 12th April 1999AC (25th Dhu'l-Hijja 1419AH) with the words Allah, Allah, Allah on his tongue, Qibla-eh-Alim (ra) left this world to meet his Creator (swt).

“Inna lillahi wa inna ilay hi raji'un ”
"To Allah We belong, and to Him is our return"

May Allah (swt) shower the grave of this friend of His with endless blessings. Ameen.
May Allah fill our breasts with the faiz (spiritual blessings) of this great man of Allah (swt). Ameen.

A Polite Request and a Warning to all Sunni Muslims

A Polite Request and a Warning to all Sunni Muslims

There has been much commotion and accusation in the past few months as to where certain Sunni Muslims and Scholars stand in relation to the Aqaid of the Ahle Sunnah Wal Jamaah. There has been a lot of slander against our honourable tariqah and against certain illustrious Mashaykh from users on a certain website.

All Naqshbandi Aslami (Arshadi and Asghari also) brothers and sisters are commanded to cease immediately your membership and participation in ANY  of these forums. Sunni brothers and Sisters are advised not to participate in ANY forums especially the forum on 'www.yanabi.com'. These forums are a place of mischief, slander, lies, blasphemy, heretical statements and untruths.

The Ulemah have issued a clear fatwa forbidding these forums (see below) as they can cause gumrahi (misguidance). Protect your iman and avoid these forums.

If you are a true seeker of divine knowledge sit in the company of the Shuyukh and Ulemah as opposed to seeking the opinions of charlatans and petulant children masquerading as scholars.

We at naqshbandi.org.uk will not engage in retaliatory posts or make any responsive comments. If any brothers and sisters have any concerns than feel welcome to call or email the Khanqah. (Contact Us)

Opinion of the Ulemah

Q: Can you comment on the latest internet trend relating to blogs and blogging? Are there dangers in crossing adab in blogging? What types of blogs and blog content is useful and what should be avoided (other than obviously haram topics)?

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

A: In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful and Compassionate.

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

Allah Most High tells us about His Beloved Messenger (Allah bless and give him peace)

“If you follow him, you will be guided.” [Qur’an, Surah an-Noor 24: Ayah 54]

It is understood from the language of the verse, as the Qur’anic commentators say, that the sense of tahtadu (‘guided’) here is ‘guided completely.’

Abu Uthman (Allah have mercy on him) said:

“Whoever holds themselves to the Sunna, shall speak with wisdom; and whoever holds to their whims shall speak with reprehensible innovations.” [Isma`il Haqqi, Tafsir Ruh al-Bayan]

The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said,

Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should say the good or remain silent.” [Bukhari and Muslim]

This is the criterion for anyone who seeks to speak or act:

if it is good, go ahead; if it isn’t, don’t; if you are unsure, weigh it on the scales of the Sacred Law—ask yourself: is what I’m saying or doing pleasing to Allah and His Messenger (Allah bless and give him peace)?

And Allah alone gives success.

Wassalam, Faraz Rabbani

Reflection & Hukm

A reflection which becomes apparent is adherents to the noble Sufi path should abstain from useless activity which will consume their time. Hence, the learned explanation of Sidi Faraz is extended to the new plague of "Internet Forums". Being immersed in frivolous activity of subscribing to and contributing to web forums should be abstained from. As we have seen the result of these forums people have taken as instruments of abuse and ridicule the noble way of the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless and give him peace) and the Awliya (Allah be well pleased with them all). Attempting to paint themselves as having the “best Shaykh and best Tariqah”.

What we need to do is practically implement the Noble Tradition “… say good or stay silent” and of equal importance the Traditions

“Part of someone’s being a good Muslim is his leaving alone that which does not concern him.” [Tirmidhi & others]

From Mu'adh bin Jabal, (Allah have mercy on him), who said: I said:

"O Messenger of Allah, tell me of a deed which will take me into Paradise and will keep me away from the Hell-fire." He said: "You have asked me about a great matter, yet it is, indeed, an easy matter for him to whom Allah Almighty makes it easy. (It is ) that you worship Allah without associating anything with Him, that you perform the prayers, that you pay the zakat, that you fast during Ramadan, and that you make the pilgrimage to the House."

Then he said: "Shall I not guide you to the gates of goodness? Fasting is a shield; charity extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire; and a man's prayer in the middle of the night." Then he recited: "Who forsake their beds to cry unto their Lord in fear and hope, and spend of that We have bestowed on them. No soul knoweth what is kept hid for them of joy, as a reward for what they used to do". [Qu'ran, Surah al-Sajdah (32): Ayah 16-17]

Then he said: "Shall I not also tell you of the peak of the matter, its pillar, and its topmost part?" I said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "The peak of the matter is Islam (submission to Allah), the pillar is prayer; and its topmost part is jihad." Then he said: "And shall I not tell you of the controlling of all that ?" I said:" Yes, O Messenger of Allah". So he took hold of his tongue and said: "Restrain this." I said: "O Prophet of Allah, will we be held accountable for what we say?" He said: "May your mother be bereft of you! Is there anything that topples people on their faces (or he said, on their noses) into the Hell-fire other than the jests of their tongues?"

as evidently we are failing in our implementation. The result we have seen and will continue to see as debasing comments made on certain forums have led to an attack on the state of some people’s Imaan. Moreover, this has led to people losing Adab for the Spiritual Inheritors of the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless and give him peace).

We pray Allah the Exalted give us all the Tawfiq to desist from engaging in activities massaging our egos and take up those pursuits which bash the ego thus enabling us to humble ourselves before Allah the Exalted, the Lord of all the worlds and Master of the day of Reckoning.

It is imperative to learn the knowledge of the Deen from the feet of the Ulema. Know and be certain, your actions are a witness for your or against you and slandering the Awliya will render your deeds worthless and ruination in the Presence of the Lord of the Worlds, Transcendent and Exalted is He!

Follow the example of:

http://www.sufilive.com/Lets_Learn_from_Sayyidina_Abu_Bakr_ra_and_Sayyidina_Ali_ra_-1487.html\

Allah take us all by the hand.

Hazrat Khawaja Sufi Arshad Mahmood sahib Naqshbandi Aslami (MZ)

Many years ago (10 yrs), Once the Late Great Shaykh Khawaja Sufi Muhammad Aslam sahib (ra) shared a dream with some close mureeds who were present at the Naqshbandia Aslamiyya Spiritual centre in Blackburn. I was fortunate enough to be one of those humble students present at that time.
The Great Shaykh related that, He saw thousands and thousands of people gathered in a huge mehfil awaiting the arrival of a very esteemed and highly educated scholar of Quran & Fiqh.
The popularity of this particular personality was so outstanding that all the people were chanting praises and respect upon this scholar until finally the crowd became silent and suddenly became in awe when the scholar who arrived on stage to deliver this magnificent speech was no other than Hazrat Khawaja Sufi Arshad Mahmood sahib.

The Great Shaykh continued and said: A great scholar is not particularly a person who delivers a good speech BUT a great scholar is he who delivers a speech by his actions.
Whoever lives his life according to the Holy Prophet in accordance with His Sunnah & Shariah, all day, every day, all his life and benefits the Ummah thru his Life - He is a great scholar.
Hazrat Khawaja Sufi Arshad Mahmood sahib Naqshbandi is a great Scholar and a great Sufi.

Speeches are not a qualification for an accomplished Sufi Shaykh.
He can work His wonders through His silence.

A few years ago Hazrat Pir Alauddin Sidiqee Sb came to the Grandsheikh Khwaja Muhammad Aslam (ra) and said what wazifa is it that you read, what action is it that you do for those who come in your presence westernised the next day they have beards growing have hats on their head, all this and you don't even do a taqrir(speech), tell me what is it that you do.

The sheikh replied Pir sahib we don't do anything but my sheikh Khwaja Nawabudin (ra) told me son you are to do the zikr of Allah and make others do the same.

After hearing this Pir Alauddin Sidiqee sb said Pir sb this is the hardest thing to do, to actually do the zikr of Allah and turn others hearts towards it too, we stand on the stage for hours and gave an example that out of the 100 words we speak we act upon 10 and not the other 90 but the final conclusion of the speech is to turn people's hearts towards Allah and that is what you are doing bringing the people towards Allah.

we have seen our Sheikh Hazrat Khwaja Pir Sufi Arshad Mahmood sahib (MZ) live their daily life and later we read in books and heard from aulama that this action is he sunnah of the Messenger. Therefore dont be fooled by the silence of a man of Allah, for the ocean is silent but as you know when the storm comes it will rock your boat

What you don't learn from the Awliya's silence you won't learn from their speech.

Keighley Urs Mubarak 2006

Marchers mark birth of Prophet

Celebrations have been held in Highfield to mark the birth and life of the Islamic prophet Mohammed.

The events were organised by the Keighley branch of the Naqshbandi Aslami Association a Sufi Muslim order.

The occasion was also designed to celebrate the life of the order's Sheikh, Khwaja Sufi Mohammed Aslam.

The event began with a street procession which started in Cartmel Road, travelled through Highfield, and ended at the community centre in Drewry Road.

Organiser Shaminur Rahman said about 350-400 people took part and he was delighted with the high turnout.

At the Highfield Community Centre, the gathering was served food and listened to recitations from the Qur'an, Naat poetry, which praised the prophet Mohammed, and talks by religious scholars.

The main speaker was Maulana Irfan Shah, of the Westgate mosque, in Bradford.

The Naqshbandi order was first founded in 1380. It has thousands of followers all over the UK but its main centre in England is in Blackburn, Lancashire.

The value of repentance

The value of repentance

Mullah Ali Qari (ra) in his Arabic commentary of Mishkaat wrote an incident about Ibrahim bin Adham (ra), who was an eminent spiritual leader of his time. He writes that Ibrahim bin Adham (ra) said “While walking one day I came across a wealthy young man who was spewing due to having drank liquor. He vomited so much that flies started buzzing around him. This excessive spewing caused him to lose consciousness.” Upon initially seeing him Ibrahim bin Adham was very upset. The thought occurred to him that the very tongue that pronounces the name of Allah has been spoiled by the impurity of liquor. He fetched a pail of water and washed the vomit around his mouth. He prayed to Allah with the following words: “Oh Allah, though he is unworthy and disobediently involved in sin, You are my Friend and he is a servant of my Friend. In view of the fact that I consider him to be Your servant even though he is a sinner I will cast my attention on him, for he is nonetheless connected to You.”

The splash of cold water on his face immediately woke him up. He came to his senses and sat up. He said: “Ibrahim you are such a prominent Wali Allah (friend of Allah), he who has given up the Kingdom of Balkh, yet you are tending to a miserable drunkard like myself?” Ibrahim replied, “Seeing you in this disabled state aroused compassion in me. I saw you in a state where flies are buzzing around you, but because you are a servant of my Allah, I deemed it correct to serve you….” The young man was very surprised saying, “I was always under the impression that men of Allah look down upon sinners. Today have I come to realize that none are as compassionate upon sinners as the friends of Allah. Please give me your hands, so that I can make Taubah, I can repent for my sins and become Bayat to you.”

Sultan Ibrahim (ra) accepted his request for Bayat and made him repent from his sins. At that moment he received kashf (ability to see some hidden things) that this young man who had just repented had surpassed many pious individuals of that period.

Indeed, at the very moment a person repents from his sins, he becomes the most beloved to Allah. Even the angels celebrate in the heavens saying that so and so has asked forgiveness from Allah and has come close to Allah.

Al-Ghazali

The Three Functions of the Perfected Man

The Perfected Man of the Sufis has three forms of relationship with people. These vary with the condition of the people.

The three manners are exercised in accordance with
(1) The form of belief which surrounds the Sufi;
(2) The capacity of students, who are taught in accordance with their ability to understand;
(3) A special circle of people who will share an understanding of the knowledge which is derived from direct inner experience.

The Nature of Divine Knowledge

The question of divine knowledge is so deep that it is really known only to those who have it.

A child has no real knowledge of the attainments of an adult. An ordinary adult cannot understand the attainments of a learned man.

In the same way, an educated man cannot yet understand the experiences of enlightened saints or Sufis

Ignorance

People oppose things because they are ignorant of them.

The Idiot Self

If you cannot find in a man an appropriate example of dedication, study the lives of the Sufis. Man should also say to himself: 'O my soul! You think yourself clever and are upset at being called idiotic. But what else are you in reality? You make clothes for winter, but no provision for another life. You are like a man in winter who says: " I shall not wear warm clothes, but place trust in God's kindness to protect me form the cold." He does not realize that, in addition to creating cold, God placed before man the means to protect himself from it.'

His Blessed Mercy

Rumi

S
ometimes in order to help He makes us cry
Happy the eye that sheds tears for His sake
Fortunate the heart that burns for His sake
Laughter always follow tears
Blessed are those who understand
Life blossoms wherever water flows
Where tears are shed divine mercy is shown

His love to his mureeds:

Hazrat Khwaja Sufi Arshad Mahmood (MZ) [Salyal Shareef] has not only directed his own students, but anyone who has come to their doorstep seeking the pleasure of Allah and His Beloved, the Holy Prophet (SAW).

My beloved Shaykh, he has never been hurtful or harsh to anyone in his life. My Shaikh is forgiving and merciful as his Sheikh Qibla Alam, Hazoor Khwaja Sufi Muhammad Aslam (RA) [Shadpur Shareef] and they as their Shaykh, Sultan ul Aliya, Hazrat Sufi Muhammad Nawabuddin (RA) [Mohri Shareef], and so on.

For the last 34 years my Shaykh has followed the Tariqa of Silsila Aaliya Naqshbandia, pleasing their Shaykh Shadpuri Sarkar (RA), the Holy Prophet (SAW) and Allah (SWT).

According Sayyidina Umar Faruq (RA), the beloved companion of the Holy Prophet (SAW):

'To praise someone one must have travelled with that person or commenced some form of trading with that person.'

When a person has travels with a person or does some form of trading then he knows what that person is like - only then he can praise him on the account of his behaviour. A lowly person such as myself has done the above with the Great Khwaja, Hazrat Sufi Arshad Mahmood; and believe me their character is the best that my lowly eyes have seen. Not only they have revived the Sunnah and Shariah in this country but guided thousands like myself who were lost in the sins of this world onto the Path of the Righteous where upon Allah has bestowed favours.

May Allah (SWT) keep us steadfast upon the Path of the Righteous and give us the ability to follow the footsteps of my beloved Shaikh.

Aashiq Arshad Mahmood.

The Sheikh should never try to take advantage of his mureeds. If they have money or properties, he should not try to get these away from them for his own use. If they donate or give willingly for the Tariqa (silsila) or for Allah's sake or for himself, then it is acceptable. But he should not devise a plan to take their money or properties.

Our sheikh Khwaja Sufi Arshad Mahmood is he, who takes out of his own pocket and gives to us. Allah

Blackburn Urs 2002

Blackburn witnessed 10,000 people marching through the rain in order to celebrate.

This march is reported to have been taking place for 35 years. Originally only a few hundred people used to take part, but now the organisers are inviting people from all cultures to take part next year.

Masood Iqbal of the Naqshbandiya Aslamia Spiritual Centre in Pringle Street in Blackburn, said: “We welcome everyone of any religion. We are a peaceful organisation and we want to show this is the good of Islam that people aren’t aware of” (Lancashire Evening Telegraph, 27.05.02).

People from across the UK are reported to have taken part in the hour long walk through Oak Street, Whalley Range, Barbara Castle Way, Chester Street, Audley Range and Newton Street. The marchers waved flags, chanted religious songs and the it all ended at Amina Hall in Newton Street where refreshments were available.

The police who had kept the roads clear for the marchers also sat down to eat with them. Sergeant John Rigby said: “Year on year it is getting bigger and it is one of the most organised marches we have to police. Apart from the weather, everything went without incident and I look forward to next year” (Lancashire Evening Telegraph, 27.05.02).

The event is also reported to have commemorated the birthday of Hazart Khwaja Sufi Mohammed Aslam (RA) (may Allah be pleased with him), founder of the Naqshbandiya Aslamia in England, who went from this world three years ago as Allah the Exalted called His saint (May Allah sanctify his noble secret) back to Him.

Hazrat Khwaja Sufi Asghar Sahib

Asalamu alaikaum

Alhamdulilahirabil alameen, asalatoh wasalamoh alayka Ya Sayidee YanabiAllah

Monday 13th March- Nacheez attend 2 mehfils, and sat in the bargah of a marde Haq, Khwaja Sufi Aghar sahib. The first house mefhil which was in Birmingham was beautiful and also the second 1 which was in nacheez house in Coventry. As all the khulafa who are diamonds of Hazrat Qibla Alam Alaiyhih rehmah, go about spreading thier message, the same way Hazrat Sufi Khwaja Asghar Sahib spread that message today.

The amazing thing was that Nacheez was thinking that, after sitting in the suhbat of my Murshide kareem Hazrat Khwaja Sufi Arshad Mahmood sb, that Hazrat Khwaja Sufi Asghar sahib had the same kind approach as our murshid. SubhanAllah. Wallahe, thier patience, thier humbleness was just beyond a persons mind.

As Hazrat Khwaja Sufi Arshad Mshmood sahib say to dost that Hazrat Sufi Kwaja Asghar Sahib are like they have a light bulb on thier face. The noor on thier face, thier face was glowing just like janaab said. Thier beard subahanAllah soo beautiful. They had a very good kirdaar like our janaab has. (The sunnat way)

Moreover, Khwaja Sufi Yousuf sahib (Peterbrough)- Khalifa mujaaz also attended, nacheez travelled with them from Birmigham to Coventry. What a humble man of Allah they are. Nacheez friend from Coventry, attended the mehfil, they spoke to Hazrat khwaja Sufi Yousuf sb for 5 minutes the exact words nacheez friend mentioned were "In just 5 minutes, I found out how pious they are, They welcomed me to other mehfils and told me to have 2 degrees, one in dunya and one in deen".

Nacheez discovered that the khulafa’s of the great grand sheikh Qibla Alam Hazrat Khwaja Sufi Mohammed Aslam ra are NO doubt diamonds.

Their manners, their kirdaar, their characteristics, their piousness, their humbleness, their patience ALLAHO AKBAR.

May Allah swt give this nacheez and other dost tawfeeq of sitting in thier suhbat time and time again and gaining the faiz of our Grand murshide kareem, Hazrat Sakhee Sultaan, Qibla Alam Alaiyhih Rehmah. Ameen

Sufi Nazarbat sbs words with regards to Hazrat sb

Having just viewed the discussion you have been having with some of the sangees, and each and everyone of them has spoken the truth there is no doubt in that.

Alhudulillah suma alhudulillah, each and every 1 of the khulfah of Qibla Alam (r.a) is a gem. Nachees is also bait to Hazoor Khwaja Sufi Arshad Mahmood from leeds and by god i have never seen and i will never see anyone like them in the rest of my life. Those who have and are stitting in their blessed company they will say the same. I dont want to go on but i just want to bring somethnig to your attention.

There is a brother that i got to know from yanabi.com. He is from london and he was in search for a marde haq and nacheez told him look no further than leeds even though there are many other places he can go to, but i told him he should come down and have a look for himself and within a week which was yesterday he came down.

He told nacheez that he isnt looking to give bait or anything like that he just wants to see what is on offer. But with the fazal of allah swt and the nigah of my blessed sheikh, he decided that he had come to the right palce. He heard hazrat speaking and he was in tears by god, Allah swt is my witness that i have yet seen another karamat of my shaykh.

I told the guy that if he is sincere and he really wants to Qurb of Allah swt and the blessed messenger (pbuh) then when he sees hazrat sb his heart will be at peace and that is exaclty what happened. Brother i hope that u can spare sometime on any friday becuase that is when we go down to leeds to see the shaykh and if u wanted i could pick u up?

All i want to say to you is that have a look for yourself where ever you want and do it out of your own will. The place where ur heart feels at peace give your bayt there. To end i just want to say that it doesnt matter whose had u give ur hand to each one of my grand shaykhs khulfah are diamonds.This extract has been taken of Yanabi.com- Sufi Nazarbat Sahib of Keighley- A well respected pious marde haq who is khalifa of Hazrat sb wrote this;

AWLIYA KARAAM -THE FRIENDS OF ALLAH

AWLIYA KARAAM -THE FRIENDS OF ALLAH
ALLAH LOVE THEM SO SHOULD WE TOO

Allah Taala says in the Holy Quran,
"Listen carefully and no doubt there is no fear nor any grief upon the friends of Allah." (Sura Yunus verse 62 ).
This verse shows that there are some people who are nearer to Allah Ta'ala than other peoples. These are the friends of Allah Ta'ala and in Islamic terminology they are called AWLIYA-ALLAH and Allah Ta'ala have special treatment with them.

Imam Bukhari rahmatullah alaihi narrates that the Holy Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said that Allah Taala says,"My servant comes nearer to me by nafl worships upto this that I begin to love him and when I love him I become his ear by which he listens and I become his eyes by which he sees. (Saheehul Bukhari) Imam Muslim in his Saheeh and other scholars in their books narrate that the Holy Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam says,
"When Allah Almighty loves a person so he calls Jabrail alaihis salam and says that O Jabrail I love my so and so servant you also love him.Hence Jabrail alaihis salam also loves him.Than Jabrail alaihis salam announces in the skies that Allah Taala loves his so and so servant you also love him than all of the dwellers of skies love him. Then he is made beloved among the dwellers of the earth".
Imam Abu Nuaim in Hilya and Imam Ibne Asakir narrate from Abdullah inne Masood radi Allah anhu that the Holy Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam says,

"Undoubtedly there are 300 awliy (friend) of Allah in his creature and there hearts are the heart of Adam alaihis salam and the hearts of 40 are like the heart of Musa alaihis salam and the hearts of the seven are like the heart of Ibraheem alaihis salam and the heart of the five are like the heart of Jabrail alaihis salam and the hearts of the three are like the heart of Mikail alaihis salam and the heart of one is like the heart of Israfeel alaihis salam. When that one(whose heart is like the heart of Israfeel) dies the one amonge of three made his representative and when some one dies among these three the one among five is made his representative and when some one dies from five the one among the seven is made his representative and when some one dies from seven the one among the forty is made his representative and when some one dies from the forty the one among the three hundred is made his representative and when some one dies from the three hundred the one among the general creature is made his representative. These are the 356 awliy due to them the life, death, raining and the growing of the plant is happened".
According to the teachings of the Quran and Hadith karaamat(miracle) is a truth Imam-e-Azam Abu Hanifa writes in his Alfiqhulakbar that the karaamat of awliya is real but there are some materialists who proclame to be muslim but they deny spiritualism, donot believe in the karaamat of awliya. Here I prove it in the light of the Quran and the Hadith.

Allah Taala says in the Holy Quran, "Sulaiman said, O chiefs,;which is of you who may bring her throne to me before they caome to me submitting? One big evil jin said, 'I will bring you that throne b-efore you rise from your sitting and undoubtedly, I am powerful over that, trustworthey. One who had knowledge of the Book said,'I shall bring it to you before twinkling of the eye.'Then when Sulaiman saw the throne set before him said,'this is of the grace of my lord that he may try me wether I am grateful or un-grateful' And whosoever is grateful for his own good. And whosoever is ungrateful, then my Lord is self sufficient All Virtuous".(Sura An-Namal, Verse 38 to 40). In this verse Allah Almighty has mentioned the karaamat of the companian of Hazrat sulaiman alaihis salam. His name was Asif bin Barkhia.According to the commentators this throne was very huge and it was at the distance of 1500 miles away but the friend of Allah brought it before the twinkling of the eye.

Allah Almighty mentiones the story of Maryam radi Allah anha and says, "And shake twards yourself holding the trunk of the palm tree fresh and rip dates will fall upon you". (Sura Al-Maryam, Verse 25). According to the commentators this was dry tree no fruite was on it but when the waliyah of Allah,Maryam radi Allahu anhu shaked it the dates fell down. It was her Karaamat that the dates fell from the dry tree.
Allah Almighty mentions another karaamat of Maryam radi Allahu anhu.He says, "Whenever Zakria went to her place of prayer he found new pro-vision with her.He said,"O Mary! whence came this to you? She spoke, that is from Allah,'No doubt Allah gives whomsoever He pleases without measure. (Sura Ale-Imran, Verse 37).
The famous commentator of the Holy Quran Imam Ibne Katheer writes from Mujahid Ikrama, saeed bin Jubair,Abu Shasa,Ibraheem Nakhai, uhak,Qatada,Rabi bin Anas,Atiyah Alaufi and Sudi say that Zakriya alaihis salam found with her the fruite of summar in the winter. (Ibne-Atheer vol 1 page 480).This was the karaamat of Maryam radi Allahu anhu that she had the fruite of summar in winter while no one came to her to give these fruite. There are many other karaamat of awliya have been mentioned in the Holy Quran but I am living those due to the lack of the time. Now i write some karaamat from the book of the hadith.
Imam Bukhari rahmatullah alaih narrates from Anas radi Allah anhu that Usaid ibne Hudair and Ibad ibne Bishr were talking with the Holy Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam about their works. This happened in a dark night then both of them came out from that place to turn. Each of them have a small stick in his hand.At once the stick of one among them brightened and both of them walked in that light.when they separated from each other because of the separation of the way the stick of other one also brightened. So each of them walked in the light of his own stick upto he reached his house. MISHKAT SHAREEF PAGE 544

It has been narrated in sharhus sunnah from Ibne Munkadir that the slave of the Holy Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam ,Hazrat Safina lost his companion in Rome or he was arrested. He escaped and was finding his friends At once he saw a lion in front of him so he said,'O Abul Harith(Lion) I am the slave of the Holy Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam and I have faced such and such problem.Listening this the lion came near him and stand side by him. whenever the lion heard a voice he went to that place and after it he again used to walk with him upto Safina radi Allahu anhu reached his companion. MISHKAT SHAREEF PAGE 545

Imam Baihaqi narrates from Ibne Umar in Dalailun Nabuwah that Umar radi Allah anhu sent a compaign and made a person their chief who was called Saria. When Umar radi Allah anhu was delivering lecture he suddenly cried with a loud voice 'O Saria keep the mountain.'After few days a messenger came from compaign and said that O Ameerul Mumineen we faced our enemy. They attacked us and compelled us to run away. All of a sudden we listened a cry saying that O Saria keep the mountain. We touch our backs with mountain so Allah Almighty made them run away. There are many other narration which prove the karaamat of awliya but it is enough for those who have brain in their skull and light in their eye ball. May Allah keep us on the right path  ameen and raise our hazrat mehboobe murshide kareem status ameen

The life of Hazrat Khwajah Sufi Arshad Mahmood (mz)

Asalamu alaikum

I would like to thank Hazrat Sufi Rizwan Sahib for the below information. JazakAllah

Hazrat Khwajah Sufi Arshad Mahmood,

Gave bayth to Hazoor Qibla Alam ,Kwajah Sufi, Ghose Zamaan, Qutabe Dawraan ,Thani Zar Zare Bakht ,Sultane Awliya, Sufi Khwajah Mohammed Aslam ra (ShadpurShareef)

On 23rd June 1972 and now allhamduallah been bayt with the Grand Shaykh, the Great Qibla Alam Shadpuri Sarkar (RA) for 35 years (Subhanallah) (2007)

That very day when they gave bayat to Qibla Alam, some friends of Hz sb started to make fun out of them, saying “Where have you Arshad gone and gave bayat, he is a daba peer (empty from inside i.e. no marifat of Allah).

That very night Hz sb went to sleep upset and Qibla Alam came in their dream saying, “My son don’t be upset about what they say, do what I have told you to do and time will tell whether or not I am something”. (i.e Qibla Alam is something or not).

Today we can see that time has taken its toll. Look what the nisbat of the prophet PBUH has made our sheikh into a Sultan ul Awliya.

Sufi Rizwan Sahibs story with Hazrat sahib in Pakistan (NOV 2004):

We were traveling one evening from a mehfil in Gujranwala to Faisalabad overnight, the weather was foggy and you could hardly see anything in front of you. We got stopped by someone who’s truck had broken down on the main road.

Nacheez was asleep first in the back. I got told that he approached the car with a chaddar (cloth over him) on and withdrew his rifle single barrel and pointed it towards the driver asking for money.

When he shouted nacheez walk up with the words Allah uttering from my mouth. He turned his rifle round and with the BUTT he hit the driver side window. Driver opened the door and gave 3000 rupees.

Meanwhile nacheez and Sufi Tassadiq (from Nottingham) started reading the Shajrah shareef invoking for help from our Shaykhs.

“Ya Illahi reham farma sahib-e-khuda ke vaste Hazrat Khwajah Sufi Mohammaed Aslam Mehboob-e-khuda key vaste."

"Ya Illahi reham farma mehboob-e-Mustapha key wasteh Hazrat Khwajah Sufi Arshad Mahmmod key wasteh

(Oh Allah show us mercy for the sake of our Grandshaykh and Shaykh)

As we read these two verses his friend came from behind to support him initially, but when he looked in the car………and saw us dost…..Allah put something (fear) into his heart.

He began telling his friend to return our money (even though he only managed to rob the driver), asking for forgiveness from us, asking us not to do Badwa (bad supplication on them). He began touching the knees of the sangees(mureeds) sat in the front seat.

Allhamdulillah our nisbat came when it was needed the most. That’s why Hazrat sahib read that sher (Verse),

“Jeh Mushkil Vich hoveh sangee, pal vich tar (line) milandeh, me hazar me hazar sajan mohtee (diamonds) cha farmandeh."

When the scene opened and the police came we could see that from the opposite side traffic they had robbed about 20-30 cars, some even damaged with the rifle Butt, some tyres burst with Rifle fire.

With Allahs swt's mercy not even the window was scratched on which he hit his rifle butt with.

SubhanAllah.. Naraeh Takbeer ALLAHO AKBAR Naraeh RISALAT YARASULALLAH SALALAHOH ALAIYHIH WASALAM, NARAEH TAHQEEQ HAQ CHAAR YAAR, FAIZAN HUZOOR KHWAJA E KHWAJGAAN, SAHIBZADA WALA SHAAN ZINDABAD, JEEVE JEEVE MURSHID JEEVE

We shall be adding alot of our Hazrat sahibs karamats on this site inshaAllah.. May Allah Taalah accept this, ameen..
